There's a New Sheriff in Town!

My little cousin Colt Justice was born yesterday afternoon! He weighs 7 lbs 11 oz and is 19 1/2 inches long. This is the little guy that tried to come way early back in May (he was due in August). Praise the Lord for his safe delivery!

New 'Puter is the Rumor

Has anyone ever heard anything good or bad about HP notebooks?

Sorry Mac people, I can't afford to buy such an icon of greatness. :P

Monday's 5-Day Club

Me: And this is a picture of our missionary. *shows picture*
Kid: He's a teenager!
Me: Actually, he's older than me. He's in his twenties.
Kid: He's a teenager in this picture.
Me: Uh, that picture was taken just a few weeks ago...

Amnesty, Deportation, and the Bible

A danger we face as political activists (or wannabes) is becoming too attached to a certain political party. For one thing, it's easier to just vote, say Republican, during an election instead of looking at what each person believes. As Christians, we have the responsibility to view candidates and issues through the lens of the Bible. Following Christ and imitating Him should infiltrate our whole lives. Even as far as immigration. Specifically illegal immigration.

Last week Agent Tim began a good discussion on this topic. Since it's in the news a lot, it's something we're constantly bombarded with. But I wonder how many of us have taken the time to think it through. Now I don't claim to have any answers (at this moment ;-), but I did find a good article to start us off: Who Holds the Moral Ground in the Immigration Debate? If you have any thoughts, feel free to let them be heard through the comments!

They are Real!

Some people just have a hard time understanding DL. They don't see how one can take classes online, much less make friends. So it's kind of hard to explain what it's like to finally meet them in person. I'll just say that it's incredibly awesome! Last week Heather, Michelle, Corrie, and I met up in Sacramento for an afternoon of fun, chatting face to face, taking pics, wandering around, eating dinner and ice cream, taking pics, posing in front of the coolest capitol, laughing tons, and taking more pics! I also got to meet Daniel and Raija (finally! :-)!

Corrie then came and stayed for the weekend. Between all the pictures, we determined that it's best for my health for her to be in another time zone. But, I've figured out that it would be even better for me if she stayed longer than less than 48 hours next time! ;-) I just had soooo much fun and miss her a lot! She's quite easy to become addicted to! It was a visit of a lot of firsts, but hopefully not lasts!

"Picasa and I have a directed friendship. ;-)" -uh, should I admit to this?

"I'm practicing being a gentleman." -she who holds open doors for others

"I almost wore a skirt!!!" -the poor girl who almost wore a skirt

Good friends are like sparkling fruit juice.

Just seeing them makes you smile.
