A Heart for the Lost

My cousin Jim wrote the following about his daughter Lizzy (age 6) in a recent e-mail:

Lizzy wanted to have a "Bible Birthday." When we asked her what she meant, she told us that she wanted to invite her unsaved friends and have a bible story. We got the local CEF director (you might remember him from church here, Voyle Hartleroad) to come make a gospel presentation, and Lizzy prayed for weeks for the people she wanted to invite. She also insisted on no presents for herself, but rather supplies for an orphanage in Liberia that the girls have been praying for. (They had been saving for a trampoline, but when the orpanage's home for deaf children burned, they sent all they had been saving to that cause. Their compassion does our hearts good! We are so proud of them.) So people brought the requested items, and they will be packaged up and sent to the organization stateside that supplies the orphanage.

Lizzy (and her sisters) is a great example of having a heart for the lost. I'm proud to be her cousin!
