Forked Logic

How ironic is this?

Speaking of letters written to Judge Greer,

“"'The tone is very hateful,'” court spokesman Ron Stuart told the Miami Herald. “'People claim to be Christian but the things they are wishing on people are not very Christian sounding.”'"

Wait, is this guy denouncing Christians for not acting like they should? What about Greer himself? He claims to be a Christian then turns around and sentences an innocent woman to death! I agree that these people shouldn't be threatening Greer, but I don't see how you can condemn them and condone him at the same time. They just want to do what he did--kill someone.

"'He may have a personal belief in the right to life,'" lawyer Denis deVlaming, a longtime friend of Greer, told the Miami Herald. 'But he doesn’t have the luxury to allow any of that to enter into his decision.'"

And why doesn't he have the "luxury" to allow "the right to life" to influence his decision? Since when does following the Constitution become impermissable? Yeah, just what I thought, NEVER!
