Soar with the Eagles
On my honor, I will do my best, to do my duty to God and my Country; and to obey the Scout Law; to help other people at all times; to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.
This post is in honor of my cousin Jonathan. I'm so proud of him! Last Sunday was his Eagle Scout ceremony. Each time I hear about all the work it takes to achieve this rank I'm amazed. I've watched him grow up from being one of the "little kids" to a young man of sixteen. They had a video production with pictures of him from when he first joined Scouts up to his last project. It ended with this verse:
"...in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." -Romans 8:37-39
