What a crazy night! It started out with one of my Awana leaders calling with a question and saying they'll see me at the Leaders meeting tonight...my brain instantly started to freak out.
"Meeting? What meeting?! Noooooo, not tonight!!"
I ran upstair to check my calender. Yup, it said, "Jan. 4 Leaders Meeting."
Note to self: Have someone else check calender to confirm date...
So we drive the 25-30 min. it takes to get there, and as we're driving up the hill to the church, we notice it's kinda dark. Not just kinda, but completely dark except for the youth group that was supposed to be meeting at that time but looked like there was no one there.
My mom pulls out her handy dandy cell phone (I need one of those;-), I pull out our Commander's #, she dials, listens, speaks, listens, speaks a little more, then hangs up. In case you didn't catch it earlier, the meeting was last night!! *groans in remembrance* No, Brooke, I'm a brunette!
