May quotes always abound!

Well, it's that time of year again, new calendars are coming to a wall near you! USAA sent us a very nice one full of patriotic pics. One of the best parts about it, besides the pic of the little girl hugging her daddy after he came back from war that almost made me cry, was the quotes! I just had to share them.:-)

"The nation which forgets its defenders will be itself forgotten." -Calvin Coolidge

"Accept the challenges so that you can feel the exhilaration of victory." -General George S. Patton

"The price of freedom is eternal vigilance." -Thomas Jefferson

"When we assumed the soldier, we did not lay aside the citizen." -George Washington

"Courage is the price that life exacts for granting peace." -Amelia Earhart

"Great works are performed, not by strength, but by perseverance." -Samuel Johnson
