Who ever said that evolution has had no affect on society??? Well, they're wrong!! In MH&A ( Music History & Appreciation ) class, we're in the Romantic era, the 19th century. This is where a lack of faith in God and in the Bible is clearly seen. The music of secular and sacred becomes more and more divided and even composers who say they're "Christians" are not living up to their words. What is one major event that happened in this time period?? You're right, Darwin's Origin of the Species was printed. Well, this might not be the only event to shape the 19th century, but it caused some major collapses in a lot of people's faith. The influence of Darwin's book, as well as writings since then, has continued to shape society into the 21st century. You want to know why people go around on shooting sprees killing many innocent people??? It's because we're teaching our children that they're just evolved animals with no purpose in life! Friends, we have a huge task in front of us. Are you ready?? Are you willing to stand up for what you believe??
