Monday Mania

God is So Good!

AwanaGames practice Friday night was survivable. Not saneable, survivable. ;-) We didn't have to leave early because of the snow either. Saturday morning found me snowed in and happy to sleep for a few more hours. I even got to quad around in the snow before leaving! :-D

Our commander took care of the Bible Quizzing, so we just needed to be there for the games that afternoon. Each kid showed up with their permission slip, everyone got there before it started, even if it was only 30 seconds before, we had exactly enough team t-shirts, the T&T director's husband came down to help me coach the boys, we found the extra guys we needed to complete the team, no one got seriously hurt, we ended up doing good in a lot of games, and won first place!

Church was amazing yesterday and sad at the same time because two families are branching off to start another church fellowship.

I had fun writing the witnessing paper today. There was no research, no footnotes, and no bibliography, so I just got to write and write. Here's a sample (read in a dramatic voice!):
"Enough," cried the irate old woman as she glared down her nose. It was then that I experienced persecution--in the form of flailing hands.
This is what happens when I'm tired and my sisters get in on the action, lol. :-) If you want to read the real, subdued version, drop me a comment, IM, or e-mail.

Saturday, after the games, I was handing out candy to my kids when one little girl asked, "would you have still given us candy if we had lost?" I let her know that of course I would have. All I was asking them to do was their best. Winning or losing was not what really mattered. And in a different but in my mind similar situation, God has been so good to me. Not just this weekend when life was relatively smooth, but also through the tough times. He gives me more mercy than I can ever deserve!

Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, unto Him be glory... Ephesians 3:20-21
