Happy B'day J!
J is now eighteen--voting age! So weird. It makes me feel old in a way. Now that all my friends are gone, I'm pretty much the oldest one around. But in my mind, I'm still that eighteen year old! To celebrate J's b'day we took her out to lunch in old town C. They have the cutest restaurant called Madonna's. I always describe it as the perfect place to have a tea party. Their back room is totally open on one side with drapes that they close at night. The decorations are partly Victorian and partly country--more French country. On top of all of that, the food is absolutely delicious! My mom made a fabulous German chocolate cake. It was so good! Everyone had gifts for J, but I think the best one is from my dad--tickets to the Monarchs'playoff game tonight! I can't wait!!!
